For those enabling the most prominent enterprises to migrate to the cloud and better harness their data, all ears are on Andy Jassy’s pronouncements each November. He leads Amazon Web Services (AWS), the largest public cloud provider, which this year hosted almost 60,000 at its annual re:Invent conference.
Jassy’s keynote address made me feel confident that REAN Cloud, a Hitachi Vantara Company, is in a groove when it comes to helping companies leverage the cloud. New offerings by AWS validate REAN ingenuity in setting up cloud environments. AWS also has a refreshing approach to straddling private and public clouds, so often pursued in the initial stages of the cloud journey.
For starters, Amazon Outposts is a functionality that brings AWS products to existing data centers. Rather than designing foundations in the cloud environment from scratch, enterprises can get comfortable understanding which applications and what security levels will be suitable for migration. The offering also provides a seamless experience across on-prem infrastructure and the public cloud. REAN Cloud has a terrific track record with this type of exercise. Through our REAN Accelerated Migration Program (RAMP), REAN Cloud’s first step is to assess how to optimize functionality and security compliance with the goal of a smooth and seamless transition to the cloud.
AWS Lake Formation is a fully managed service to help enterprises build, secure, and manage data lakes. It uses machine learning to identify and de-duplicate data, also performing format changes to accelerate analytical processing. REAN Cloud has jumped in deep to create and leverage data lakes. Aside from helping clients design, build, and operationalize data lakes in the AWS Cloud and GovCloud, we have developed expertise in modernization. Realizing that enterprises were keen to expand their data analytics, but were still using legacy applications, REAN Cloud helped adapt the apps into microservices. These require less code, allow for better scalability, and through DevOps pipelines, applications can be more efficiently accessed and upgraded. In short, we help enterprises focus on their own innovations!
AWS’s Security Hub feature gives enterprises visibility and management over security alerts and compliance checks within and across AWS accounts. Backed by extensive security DNA and deep compliance IP, REAN Cloud has earned its bona fides in helping clients maintain security and compliance mandates in the cloud. Our DevOps Accelerator Platform puts security control in the hands of the enterprise. Among other compliance regimes, REAN Cloud enables assessment of readiness, configuration, migration and ongoing managed services for clients seeking regulatory compliance for HIPAA, Gx and HITRUST through to FedRAMP and PCI.
In the coming months, we’ll highlight these and other trends, which promise to present many more opportunities for our cloud acceleration, modernization, and cloud management capabilities.
